Inside Monet VR Experience

Inside Monet VR Experience is the first open-air digital art exhibition dedicated to Claude Monet. After the success of the 2024 edition, it returns to Bordighera from June to September 2025 with a new immersive journey through art, technology, and emotion.

This guided walk takes you to the places loved by Monet during his 1884 stay in Bordighera, where he was captivated by the light, colors, and lush nature, inspiring 38 of his works. The experience combines theatrical narration by an actor with moments of Virtual Reality, where—wearing a VR headset—you'll step inside six of Monet’s most famous paintings. Among them, Impression, Sunrise and Poppies will immerse you in a sensory journey of color, light, and poetry.

A new feature this year is the stop at Villa Etelinda, a splendid 19th-century architectural gem surrounded by greenery. The villa is one of the deepest symbols of Monet’s connection with Bordighera, celebrated in the painting that bears its name.

The experience concludes with the enchantment of the Water Lily Pond, where color, water, and light blend in perfect harmony.

Inside Monet VR Experience is an invitation to see art with new eyes and embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of Impressionism.

Location: guided walk through the city streets, starting from the Tourist Information Office (IAT – Via Vittorio Emanuele II 172, Gardens of Palazzo del Parco)

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:00 PM
August and September schedules will be updated online.

Duration: approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes

Languages: guided tour in Italian. VR scenes are available in Italian, English, and French. The guide's script is available in English and French via QR code.

Prices:
Full price: €15
Reduced: €10 (under 17, over 65, people with disabilities, and teachers)

Tickets: available online at tickets.wayexperience.it or on site (subject to availability, credit/debit card only).

In case of rain, the experience will take place inside the Anglican Church of Bordighera, with meeting point always at the IAT office.
